All I will say without spoiling it.. Wow. Be careful who you associate with ... For more than just the obvious reasons.... Is it in the genes? Or stress? Exposure? Or, do all of us have the ability to do it?
This is a positive contribution in many ways. A poor, child, female, diabetic daughter of immigrants is a Supreme Court judge. Great book that may inspire many. The writing style did not keep my attention at times, but I still think it's a great book.
A " taste" of a great subject. It has been said before, it also depends on your view of " free will" and how " free" we really are. I don't believe there is "absolute" free will but "free will" while also understanding that we are a product of our upbringing, genes, and history. Taking all that into consideration, we have " free will".
On being a woman as written by a 30 something Brit. I heard her message but wonder if others would or could get beyond her humor. It warms my heart that she encourages and talks about how being a feminist is not hating men but loving ourselves and of feminist men that respect women. I like her, her and her Doc Martens and I with my Crocs.
It is a really cute, funny and informative book about cycling in America. It was funny to see how my cycling friends and I fit in each group (tribe). Quite enjoyable when you can't go cycling because of the weather.
